ABOUT DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

Department of Chemistry at College of Basic Sciences & Humanities is one of the premier department of University known for quality teaching and research in fundamental and applied chemistry. Department presently conducts M.Sc & Ph.D programs in chemistry, M.Sc (Ag) & Ph.D agricultural Chemicals. Presently department has strength of seven Professors and two Assistant Professors. Department has substantial potential of teaching and research in the area of material science, phytochemistry, bio inorganic chemistry, green & agriculture chemistry. Department has received extramural funding from DRDO, UGC, DBT, DST, Ministry of Environment and Forest, Uttarakhand Council of Science and Technology, private organizations and DST, FIST over past decades. Department is currently equipped with necessary sophisticated analytical facilities for fundamental and applied research. Department has collaborations with various national institutes and universities for multidisciplinary research.
